Here are answers to common questions we receive. Give us a call at 843.428.5693 if we can offer additional answers.

ORDERING

Q: How can I get a quote?
A: Fill out our quote form here.

Q: Do you have a minimum order?

A:  We can go as low as 1 item!

Q: What is your turnaround time?

A: Our standard turnaround time is 2 weeks. Please be aware that this is after a complete order has been submitted, your order is paid in full and your proof has been approved.

Q: How will my order be shipped?

A:  Every order includes UPS Ground shipping to one location.

Q: When do I pay, and what methods of payment do you accept?

A: For new customers, we ask for full payment when you place your order. We offer online invoices via Square that accepts debit or credit cards. We also accept personal checks.

Q: Can I add shirts or change some sizes once my order has been placed?

A: Yes, we can add shirts up until two to three days before the order is set to print, depending on where the garments are shipped from. If you need to change your order, please contact us immediately.

Q: What if I cancel my order?

If we have already ordered your garments, you will be responsible for a 20% restocking fee, as we have to pay to return them.

If we have already completed your artwork, you would be responsible for a $25 art fee to compensate our designers for their time.

ARTWORK

Q: What kind of artwork should I send over with my order?

A: Vector art is the best to send us. File extensions that support vector art include .ai, and .eps.  We are able to work with most anything, though, even hand-drawn sketches. There may be art fees associated with converting artwork into usable files.

Q: Is there a fee for you to create a design for me?

A: If you are placing an order of 5 or more garments, an hour of our artists’ time is included in your price. This will be adequate for most designs. Some designs may require more time, and would require an additional art fee of $30-$60.

Q: Can I see my design before I place an order?

A:  If you would like to see a design before placing an order, we charge a $25 mockup fee, you can think of this as a deposit toward your order. When you place your order, that $25 is applied to your order’s balance. If you end up not going through with an order, we do keep the $25 to compensate our designers for their time.

Q: What if I don’t want a mockup? Will I see a proof before you print?

A: Once you place an order and pay a deposit, we begin working on your artwork. We ALWAYS send a proof! With this proof you are able to make any changes you’d like and we do not print without your full approval.

Q: Can you print me a sample shirt?

A: Generally, we do not print individual sample shirts, unless the order is extremely large (Over 1,000 pieces) or complicated. We ALWAYS send a digital proof, though.  In the cases where we do print a sample, we will set up the order, print one test shirt and ship it to the customer to approve it. Production is at a standstill while we wait for your approval, so the customer must be “on call.” If changes need to be made at that point, there may be additional costs.

Q: Can I get the same design printed on different color shirts?

A: Yes, as long as your design stays the same color, size and location, there are no additional fees to change the colors of the garments.

Q: Can I get the same design in different ink colors on my garments?

A: Yes, we can change the ink color(s) of the design as many times as you would like, but there is a $15 ink change fee per screen and each time we change the color.

Q: Can I get the same design printed on different kinds or sizes of garments, like hoodies and t-shirts, or Youth and Adult?

A: Yes, as long as the setup is the same for us, there is no extra charge for this. Pants and shirts would be different setups, but a Front and Back of a shirt would most likely be the same.

Something to keep in mind is that we are only set up to print one size of the artwork, so for Youth and Adult shirts, we would have to print a size of the design that fits on all garments, which most times is the smallest size shirt. You can make different sizes of the art for Youth and Adult, but you would be charged $25 per screen for the extra setup. This may also apply to pocket hoodies.

PRODUCTION

Q: What is the maximum print size for a t-shirt?

A: The maximum size for art is 11” x 17”. We do have an oversize option (Most times seen on “Spirit Jerseys”) of 13 x 19” available for an upcharge.

Q: How closely can you match your ink to the color that I want?

A: We can happily provide you with a color card that shows our standard ink colors. In most cases you will probably find a color that is close to what you have in mind. In the event that our standard colors do not come close enough, we can do a simulation of over 1000 PMS (Pantone Matching System) colors. Custom-mixed Pantone colors are $10 each.

Q: Can you do 4-color (CMYK) process printing?

A: Yes, we can! If you are considering a 4-color process design, please contact us to discuss your needs.

Q: Can you print over a zipper?

A: We don’t recommend it because the print may get muddy over the seams. If you want the print to be perfect, we would try to revise your artwork to avoid the zipper.

Q: Can you print a wraparound design?

A: We can use our over size screen to make the design go onto the sides as much as possible, but we do not offer complete wraparound printing. Larger designs may require several imprint locations.

Q: Can I get screen printing and embroidery on the same garment?

A: You sure can, but the turn around time will increase slightly.

PRODUCTS

Q: Where can I see a sizing chart for my garment?

A: You can always ask us to direct you to a size chart, or if you know the garment style number, you can find the size specs for your garment by visiting our main suppliers’ website via links on our website under the “Products” tab.

Q: Do you offer Youth / Infant / Big & Tall sizes?

A: Many of our products are available in a wide range of sizes, but usually in a more limited color palette for the specialty sizes. If we can’t find something from our usual vendors, we can special order certain products for you.

Keep in mind that smaller size shirts may require that your art be reduced to fit. You may also choose to have a Youth-sized and an Adult-sized version of your artwork, but this would incur additional setup fees.

Q: Do you have samples of shirts available?

A: Yes! We can order samples if you need to take the garments back to your employer or group. If you need blank samples, you can prepay for them and always return them within 3 weeks for a full refund minus shipping costs.

Q: What is the difference between 50/50 and 100% cotton fabrics?

A: Generally 50/50 fabrics are lighter in weight and also tend to wrinkle less. The polyester is also a stronger yarn and produces a more durable fabric. The 100% cotton fabrics are normally used in the heavier weights and are softer. Both fabrics will undergo some shrinkage when washed.

Q: How much shrinkage can I expect?

A: All garments that we use are high quality name brands manufactured to keep shrinkage to a minimum and many brands now pre-shrink their product. However, some varying amounts of shrinkage can occur during the first few times you wash the garments. Typically, garments will shrink approximately 5% across the shoulders and 7% in the length. For a Large or XL garment, this is about 1-1.25 inches in width and 1.5-2 inches in the overall length.

Q: What are the differences between Anvil, Hanes, and Gildan?

A: Mostly, it is simply personal preference. After putting each through the laundry most people won’t be able to tell the difference between them, especially in Youth sizes.

Q: Can you get different brands than the ones shown?

A: Absolutely! We offer many different brands than the ones above. Other companies such as American Apparel, Canvas, Jerzees, and Fruit of the Loom produce a variety of T-shirts and fleece wear. There are also many brands and styles of sport shirts available.

Q: How long will the design stay on the shirt?

A: The printing will last the useful life of the shirt. What we mean by that is the design will show wear and fading at about the same rate as the garment. Normally this means a life span of several years. We use high quality inks and have perfected our printing and embroidery processes so you can expect the utmost performance out of your print!

Q: We have had trouble getting a good bright white logo on our shirts in the past. Is there something that can be done?

A: You may have been using a 50/50 garment where the polyester dyes discolored the printing inks over time. This is especially true with unstable dye colors such as red. We would recommend that you use 100% cotton fabrics, particularly when using reds and purples.

EMBROIDERY

Q: How is pricing determined?

A: Embroidery pricing is based mostly on the kind of garments you choose, the quantity you order, and the amount of stitches in your logo. There is a one-time setup charge of $35 to digitize your logo if you have not embroidered with us before. It is assumed that the embroidery will be the size of a small crest (~3.0” wide x 3.0” high). If the embroidery area is larger than that, your setup cost and price per garment will be higher.

Q: How can I get a quote?

A: Please contact us directly for a quote or send us one on our quote page.

Q: Do you have a minimum order?

A: Nope! Just as Jimmy Johns will deliver as little as one sandwich, we will embroider as little as one garment.

Q: What is your turnaround time?

A: Turnaround time for embroidery is about 10 days after proof approval and payment of order.

Q: I need my order faster than that. Do you have rush options available?

A: This is usually determined in a case-by-case basis, but we are generally able to accommodate rush orders.

Q: What kind of artwork should I send over with my order?

A: For embroidery, you can send us anything you have!

Q: Will I see a proof before you embroider?

A:  We will always provide you with a digital proof of your logo prior to sewing it.  This will show the logo as it will look stitched.

Q: Can I get the same design in different thread colors on my garments?

A:  You can change the thread color as many times as you would like and there is no charge for doing so.  There is also no extra charge if you would like to embroider on different items such as jackets, hats, and polos.

Q: Can I get screen printing and embroidery on the same garment?

A: You sure can, but the turn around time will increase slightly.
